Helena Blue Morpho - Male

The Helena Blue Morpho (Morpho helena) is a species of butterfly native to the northern rainforests of South America. It displays intense iridescence. Females and males are strikingly different, as females are brown and yellow. My butterfly wood-slice paintings are done on 1/2 inch pine wood slices approximately 6.5-8 inches in diameter. They are all organically shaped and unique. Each is finished with a glossy resin coating and hanging hardware, ready to brighten up your space.
