Black Swallowtail

The Black Swallowtail (Papilio polyxenes) is a species of butterfly native to North America. The caterpillars enjoy feeding on parsley. My butterfly wood-slice paintings are done on 1/2 inch pine wood slices approximately 6.5-8 inches in diameter. They are all organically shaped and unique. Each is finished with a glossy resin coating and hanging hardware, ready to brighten up your space.
